AstroFinance and Filmed in Space Company Announce New Platform Collaboration for Educational CubeSat Micro-Satellite
London, 1st of July 2025 — AstroFinance, the aerospace tokenisation platform making space investment accessible to all, has announced a new collaboration with Filmed in Space to empower global classrooms through real spaceflight experiences.
The initiative will allow secondary schools worldwide to crowdfund and launch their own Cube Satellite missions via the AstroFinance platform. AstroFinance will provide the framework for school communities — including students, teachers, alumni, and parents — to co-finance and co-design missions that enable live data collection from orbit.
“This project is about democratising access to space — not just for investors, but for students and educators around the world,” said Alexis Grabar, Founder and CEO of AstroFinance. “By offering a real platform for participation, we give young minds the opportunity to learn from space, engage with data, and spark a new generation of aerospace talent. As we like to say at AstroFinance: the sky is not the limit.”
The CubeSat initiative will be delivered in collaboration with Filmed in Space, a commercial launch provider known for its innovative space content services. While their core offering remains the filming and orbital delivery of personal items and creative messages, the company also supports educational missions with dedicated payload space.
“We’re excited to support this next step — enabling communities to engage directly with space and science,” said Harry Spring, Head of Operations at Filmed in Space. “Whether it’s recording memories in orbit or supporting a classroom in launching their own satellite, we believe space should be a place for everyone.”
AstroFinance and Filmed In Space are currently in discussion with schools around the world to identify those most ready to take advantage of this opportunity. Participating schools will gain access to educational support, launch planning, and tokenised campaign management via the AstroFinance platform.
