Frequently Asked Question

What is tokenization and how does it work for aerospace assets?

Tokenization is the process of converting the legal rights to a real-world asset—such as a private jet—into digital tokens on the blockchain. These tokens represent fractional ownership and can be bought, sold, or traded by investors. Tokenisation makes high-value aerospace assets like an airplane more accessible, liquid, and divisible, allowing anyone to invest from as little as $10.

The blockchain is a decentralized digital ledger that records transactions across a network of computers in a secure, transparent, and immutable way. It ensures that data cannot be altered once confirmed, creating trust without the need for intermediaries. At AstroFinance, we use blockchain technology to tokenize aerospace assets and enable seamless, transparent trading of these digital shares.

AstroFinance brings together asset manufacturers and operators on one side, with individual investors on the other. The AstroFinance platform facilitates the listing, tokenization, buying and selling of assets, and distribution of returns to investors.

AstroFinance sustains itself through:

  • Transaction fee charged to investors upon token purchasing
  • Listing fee charged to the asset manufacturer/operator to publish their asset on the platform and gain access to financing
  • Management fees for managing the asset’s lifecycle, reporting, and compliance
  • Premium services such as tailored analytics, early-access deals, or priority listings

Partnering with AstroFinance accelerates financing and can significantly lower capital costs compared to traditional banks or venture capital. By raising funds more quickly, manufacturers and operators shorten production cycles and reduce idle inventory time. In addition, tokenization broadens the investor community and boosts brand visibility, often leading to new sales opportunities.

We focus exclusively on aerospace, leveraging deep industry expertise in aircraft, satellites, and related technologies. We understand the unique life cycles and residual values of various aerospace assets, along with the complex regulations that govern them. Our platform integrates robust blockchain technology and emphasizes transparency, making it easier for investors to evaluate asset performance, compliance, and potential returns. In short, we blend specialized aerospace knowledge with next-generation tech—setting us apart from other tokenization platforms.

Our focus is on high-value, income-generating aerospace assets including:

  •     Private Jets
  •     Business Aviation Fleets
  •     Helicopters
  •     Drones (Inspection, Search & Rescue)
  •     Special Mission Aircraft

Each asset undergoes a vetting process to confirm its revenue potential, regulatory readiness, and clear ownership structure.

In the future, we may expand into commercial aircraft, advanced air mobility (eVTOLs), and satellite infrastructure, depending on investor demand and asset viability.

Our initial offerings will be available to accredited high-net-worth individuals, family offices, wealth managers, and crypto-savvy investors. In the future, we plan to broaden access and enable retail investors to diversify their portfolios with investments starting at just $10.

Our goal is to offer a variety of secure payment methods to cater to different investor preferences. That will include traditional options like wire transfers and credit cards, as well as certain cryptocurrencies. We’re continuously evaluating additional methods to enhance convenience, subject to legal and technical considerations.

We are actively engaging with legal advisors and regulatory bodies in both the UK and Switzerland to ensure full compliance

In the UK, we are aligning our activities with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines on tokens and digital assets.

In Switzerland, we are working within the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) framework, leveraging Switzerland’s progressive stance on tokenized assets.

Investor protection starts with selecting credible assets and partners. We conduct due diligence on all partners and listed assets—verifying maintenance records, ownership structures, and insurance coverage. We also use blockchain tech to maintain accurate records of who owns what. Beyond that, we will provide updates on asset performance, usage, and any significant events that might affect investment value.

No. AstroFinance is focused exclusively on civilian and dual-use aerospace assets. We do not tokenize, invest in, or promote weapons systems, defense technology, or any assets directly linked to armed conflict or surveillance misuse. Our core mission is to democratize access to commercial aviation and advanced mobility.
